Underprivileged Women Gaining Confidence Through Floral Art
Collaborated with Rosewood Hong Kong, our social enterprise YM Fleur launched the “F² GreenPathy Project”, a loving and creative initiative where we regularly recycle flowers discarded by the hotel and upcycle them into stunning dried floral products. The hotel graciously provides an online sales platform for our social enterprise products, giving the underprivileged women free sales channels for their creations, which help enhance their employability and support sustainable development. This is the first time that YM Fleur has partnered with the corporate to implement a circular economy model that promotes the concept of ESG in action. Skillfully crafted by “Blooming Mothers”, our part-time floral assistants, all floral products are made from recycled fresh flowers, which are being given new life as beautiful preserved floral products. More importantly, it is heartwarming to know how crafting flowers has changed the lives of the mothers taking part in the project. Through the floral work, they have built up self-worth and self-confidence, enriched their lives as housewives, and improved communications and relationships with their children. To continue uplifting underprivileged women, YM Fleur aspires to empower them to find inspiration in the world of floristry and work together for a brighter future. During the Reporting Period, a total of 11 mothers were employed.
