University & College YMCA Department
Since 2003, the University & College YMCA service has been committed to nurturing young people into future leaders equipped with adaptability, problem-solving skills, resilience, empathy, innovative thinking, and a forward-looking vision. By leveraging our strategic partnerships with various local tertiary education institutions, it aims to promote students' holistic development and uphold the YMCA motto, “’To serve, not to be served”. This is achieved through an array of distinguished learning experiences, including youth leadership training, local and overseas activities, and community service programmes that foster the personal growth of young people.
The first University YMCA® in Hong Kong was established at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2003. Through years of development, there are now a total of eight University YMCAs (at HKBU, CUHK Chung Chi College, HKUST, CUHK, LU, HSUHK, PolyU and HKU) and one College YMCA (at YMCA College of Careers) across the city, serving over 7,000 members.

Young Members' Council
At the global level, Youth Councillors are empowered to attend and speak in various international conferences and meetings on behalf of the Association, thus fostering their participation in the YMCA movement. Youth Councillors extend such global exposure to the youth members of the Association and nurture them into global citizens through coordinating periodic study or service trips.
