Since year 2014, the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong has been providing comprehensive and high-quality pain and sports injury treatment services to its members and the community. The services are managed by a professional team of physiotherapists and rehabilitative instructors. Combination of traditional Chinese and Western therapy, together with aquatic physiotherapy and targeted rehabilitation training are applied to consolidate treatment effects and improve physical condition. In addition, speech therapists also provide assessments and treatment services in YMCA hostel for elderly and residents with intellectual disabilities. Speech therapists also serve children with speech impairments and members with swallowing difficulties.

In year 2020, In response to Government policy and to fulfill service need of aging population, YMCA established a “Health Care Professions Department,” comprised of a multidisciplinary treatment team including Registered medical practitioner , Experienced Chinese medicine practitioner, physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and sports rehabilitation instructors. Two New Centers: The Kei Yau Integrated Medical Centre and Physiotherapy Clinic “YM Motion” started to provide service as well. We provide one-stop services to members and public included Western and Chinese Medicine Outpatient Services, Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Exercise therapy, Therapeutic training courses and Public education workshop. Meanwhile, the team of therapists continues to provide appropriate rehabilitation services to those in need at YMCA hostel for rehabilitative and elderly unit, Day Centre, and other centres.

By the end of 2024, YMCA started a new service centre at the Albion Plaza in Tsim Sha Tsui – the “Tsim Sha Tsui Kei Yau Integrated Health Centre”. The team has incorporated occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy services for children into the centre. The centre has also set up a brand new sensory integration therapy room to provide higher quality and more comprehensive training programs for children in need.
