Established in 1901, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong is a major International Non-Government Charitable Organization in Hong Kong providing a spectrum of services for the betterment of the Hong Kong people in particular the poor and needy with a special focus to assist and empower the youth in Hong Kong to develop a holistic character with a passion to serve and contribute to the community in the spirit of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible: “To serve, not to be served”. The Association is now looking for high caliber candidates to fill the following position:

Assistant Internal Audit Manager 審計副經理

Ref: AIAMIAD/04/26

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Internal Audit Manager
  • Assist in the development of annual audit plans
  • Assist in the evaluation of internal control policies
  • Assist in the review of operations and recommend improvements for effectiveness and efficiency
  • Supervise and coach subordinates on internal audit assignments and other daily tasks
  • In-charge of the execution of internal audit assignments and fieldwork
  • Review audit workpapers and draft audit reports
  • Conduct thorough follow-up of corrective action plans before due dates to ensure remediation is implemented on time
  • Assist in the preparation for Audit Committee Meetings
  • Execute and complete other administrative or ad hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in accounting, finance, or related disciplines, with a recognised professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7+ years of internal audit experience in sizeable organisations, or CPA firm
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit methodologies, and risk management principles, demonstrating proficiency in compliance and operational auditing
  • Prior experience in NGO operations is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate change and cultivate agreement among auditee and stakeholders
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent audit activities
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
  • Experience in auditing SAP S4 Hana, and experience with AI‑enabled audit tools and data analytics is an added advantage
  • Working location: Yau Ma Tei
